Adults 16 years of age or older
Learn to Read is helping people improve their lives by offering:
One-on-one tutoring in literacy: reading, math, language arts, writing, and comprehension.
Conversation classes and one-on-one tutoring in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and US Citizenship preparation.
One-on-one tutoring in High School Diploma (GED) preparation and the Adult Basic Education Test (TABE).
Assistance in reaching personal goals such as writing checks, reading medicine labels, helping children with school work, getting a driver’s license, etc.
Helping students pass vocational or professional exams, including nursing, real estate licensing, welding, medical billing and transcription, and massage therapy.
Helping students attain their two and four-year college goals.

Our mission is to be the area’s principal organization for providing individualized education in fundamental verbal, written, mathematical and technological skills for persons 16 years and older to remove barriers to employment and higher education, improve quality of life, and prepare for community and civic participation.
